1865 Fowler House
The Historic Fowler House, built in the late nineteenth century is a rare example of a Civil War era building. The Greek Revival style home was built by Captain Enoch S. Fowler and is one of Port Townsend’s historical gems. The exterior of the home was rehabilitated to keep the history of it’s architecture intact. The railing that sits atop the sunroom entry, was rebuilt to match the original design. The interiors were updated with modern cabinetry and fixtures, while keeping the original layout of the open, linear floor plan. The 2-car garage, with guest accommodations above, was added and connected to the historic house via a windowed gallery.
On Washington Trusts “Most Endangered” list for many years, the restored home may now go on for another 100 years.
